THE GOSPEL & THE MIND

GGF is excited to have Dr Bradley G. Green back for Fellow Workers’ Conference 2023 on “The Gospel and The Mind” which is also the title of one of his books. Here’s a short snippet from his book on what you can expect at the conference:

“I had heard D. Bruce Lockerbie speak on a number of occasions. He is fond of saying, “Wherever the gospel is planted, the academy follows.” That is, wherever the gospel takes hold of a culture, you inevitably see academies, schools, and institutions of learning develop. They develop not only to teach people how to read and understand the Bible, as important and central as that is. But wherever the gospel goes, it seems to generate intellectual deliberation and inquiry.”

But why?

“What is the link between the Christian gospel and intellectual deliberation, between the Christian faith and learning? Why has the Christian faith always seemed to spur on the intellectual life? What is the connection, indeed, between the gospel and the mind?”

Dr. Green is Professor of Theological Studies at Union University as well as Professor of Philosophy and Theology at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, besides being GGF’s adviser for Christian Education.

We hope you are excited to get trained for ministry as we explore the gospel’s connection to the mind. Come and celebrate Fellow Workers’ Conference’ 15th anniversary with us!
